BBC News Labs is an experimental part of the BBC that explore new and exciting ways to broadcast to the world.
I've worked on several projects in a UX and Design role creating prototypes, user interfaces and brand identities. Each project ran in fast paced design sprints in an agile way usually lasting 2-3 weeks.
AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) are big in Russia as they demand fast download speeds. I initially designed a set of templates and UI to help tell stories in a quick and engaging way that would cope with long Russian words. This then got expanded to include an English version for BBC News, rolled out just in time to celebrate the marriage of Harry and Meghan.
I designed the brand and UX for News Mixer. A protoype that explores how a user might want to change how they consume news content depending on their often changing environment. The user interface seemlessly switches between video, audio to text.
Big on the tech scene but with a poorly designed website, I created a new brand identity including a logo and website design. It's just waiting to be implemented!
